GEORGIA TAKES VENGEANCE ON SEX SLAYER

Tragic victim
Ride to oblivion
EMMANUEL FITZGERALD HAMMOND got what he deserved. On Tuesday night, Georgia took vengeance on the heartless killer and sent him on a journey to the abyss.
Hammond, 49, was executed by lethal injection last night at 7 p.m. for the sick 1988 sex slaying daycare teacher Julie Love, 27.
The pretty brunette was abducted from North Atlanta after her car ran out of gas. The maniacal Hammond then beat and raped the terrified woman before dragging her into a woods and shot her to death. Heartlessly, he dumped her body in a trash pile and it took a year
for cops to find it.
Hammond's girlfriend ratted him out to cops
It was a case that frustrated Atlanta detectives.
“After 13 months, we were down to going over the same old tracks,” said retired detective Claude Porter, who was investigating the case as a missing person. “There was a lot of pressure on the investigation."
