A CHEMIST accused of poisoning her estranged husband with a "lethal and massive" of highly toxic metal has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Tianle Li, stands accused of murdering Xiaoye Wang by poisoning him with thallium, which was once used in rat poison, and hindering prosecution.
Deputy First Assistant Middlesex County Prosecutor Nicholas Sewitch, said:  "The defendant administered a lethal and massive dose to the victim and caused his death."

They cannot say how much poison she gave him, because they are still running tests, but they believe it was a huge dose. 
In early January Wang checked into Princeton Medical Center suffering from what appeared to be the flu or some other virus, but his condition worsened quickly.
The hospital conducted routine tests but didn't suspect thallium until a nurse remembered a case involving thallium poisoning in China in the 1990s.The 39-year-old had lapsed into a coma by then and died on Jan. 26.
"By the time it was discovered, it was really too late to treat him," Sewitch said.
Cops arrested Li two days later and charged her with hindering prosecution. The murder charge was added this week.
She could have had access to the substance at her job, although prosecutors wouldn't say where she got it from.
Her bail was set at $4 million.
