PSYCHO AZ. DAD GETS 34 YEARS FOR HONOR KILLING

A WICKED father who showed "no remorse" for running over his daughter in an honor killing has been sentenced almost 35-years in the big house.
Iraqi immigrant Faleh Almaleki felt that his stunning daughter Noor had brought dishonor on his family by having a boyfriend and living in a more western way.   
So in a fit of anger he smashed his Jeep Cherokee into the 20-year-old, clipping her boyfriend's mother Amal Khalaf at the same time.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Roland Steinle told him that forgiveness is the core of all religion, adding he was struck by Almaleki's apparent lack of remorse for killing Noor Almaleki.
Prosecutor  Bill Montgomery said: "It is an offense against parenthood itself and the awesome responsibility parents have for nurturing and protecting
their children.
"Dishonor, disrespect and other cultural mores can never serve as a justification for the taking of an innocent life. Mr. Almaleki will have an appropriately long time in prison to ponder this truth."
Noor Almaleki, who was in a coma for two weeks before she died from her injuries, had refused to enter an arranged marriage in Iraq when she was 17 because she wanted to be a typical American girl, according to court records and her close friends.
Sadly she never got the chance.
Bill Montgomery added the only positive from her death was that Noor Almaleki's story set off a firestorm of "honor killing" outrage at the time and raised awareness of the rare practice within the United States.
