MAMA MIA! ITALIAN COPS BOTCHED AMANDA KNOX CASE

ITALIAN FORENSIC cops made a staggering number of errors during the sensational Amanda Knox, left, investigation. Foxy Knoxy, her Italian boyfriend and another man were convicted of murdering British exchange student Meredith Kercher, right, during a sex game gone awry in November 2007.  The 24-year-old Seattle native was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
But now, experts testifying in her appeal say the Italian cops' findings were Bologna. Knox was convicted on two key pieces of evidence: a 30-centimeter (12-inch) kitchen knife and a clasp from Meredith's bloodied bra.
Two independent, court-appointed experts -- professors
Carla Vecchiotti and Stefano Conti -- were scathing of the methods used by Italian CSI. Conti even showed a clip of two cops collecting the bra clasp--six weeks after the murder and in a different place. You could hear the gasps in court.
Conti said even though gloves were worn, grubby dirt marks could clearly be seen on the thumb and forefinger of one of the cops. He testified: "We can see from these circumstances proper protocol was not followed." MORE ON FOXY KNOXY'S APPEAL
