NEIGHBOR ANTONIO DIAZ CHACON STOPS GIRL KIDNAP

HERO
WEIRDO
A QUICK thinking neighbor foiled the kidnap of a little girl by jumping into his car and forcing the kidnapper to crash.
Twisted Phillip Garcia snatched the six-year-old and bundled her into his van.
The youngster told cops that he put his hand over her mouth and she bit him, but the didn't stop the perverted predator and he shoved her onto the floorboard and held her head to keep her out of sight.
But after hearing the commotion from his neighbors in Albuquerque, Antonio Diaz Chacon jumped into his car and chased down the child-napper.
The humble hero said he didn't think twice about his actions.
He told the huge media throng: "The way he grabbed her and threw her into the van, I knew it wasn't right. I knew I had to catch him. I had to get the girl back from him and take her home, back where she belongs."
Cops say that Garcia tried to lose Chaco, but ended up crashing into a light pole, at which point he took off, although he was later apprehended by cops.
Albuquerque police Sgt. Tricia Hoffman said: "This little girl was very lucky. If it wasn't for him, this could have been very bad."
Garcia was charged with kidnapping, child abuse and tampering with evidence adding there have not been any other recent child abductions or attempted abductions in the city.
