AMANDA BACH, 19, FOUND MURDERED IN FIELD

COPS BELIEVE a pretty 19-year-old woman from Indiana was murdered. Amanda Bach's body was discovered Saturday afternoon after a massive search. Now, it's a murder probe. Detectives are trying to make contact with the friend she was supposed to visit. The friend is described as "a person of interest" and are trying to get a search warrant for his home.  Bach’s car was found at 3 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of Dean’s General Store on Indiana 130 and County Road 625W. Cops say her car was found with a flat front-left tire and the door open. Her purse and other belongings, including credit and debit cards, were still in the car. Bach graduated from high school in June and worked as a hostess at Quaker State and Lube at
the AmeriPlex development. Amanda planned to attend Indiana University Northwest in Gary next semester, said her father, Bill Bach.
He said: "When she left the house, she was going to a friend’s house here in Wheeler. The police called me at about 3:45 in the morning and she was supposed to be home by 1. They just said they found my daughter’s vehicle and they knew it was hers because her identification was in the car, and if I knew where she was.” MORE IN THE CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
