THIS SHOCKING tape of Michael Jackson high on the powerful anaesthetic which eventually killed him was played by to the court yesterday.
On the audio clip recorded on his personal physician Dr Conrad Murray's iPhone just six weeks before the King of Pop's death in 2009, he can be heard talking about his doomed talked about his doomed 50-date This Is It concerts planned for London's O2 Arena.
But the superstar's weird deep drone sounded nothing like the high-pitched Michael Jackson known to his millions of fans across the world.His slurred voice said: "When people leave my show, I want them to say: 'I've never seen nothing like this in my life,'"
Deputy District Attorney David Walgren introduced the voice recording made on May 10, 2009 because, he said, it indicated Murray's knowledge of the state of the pop star and knowledge of what Murray was doing to Jackson a month and a half before his death.
Walgren described the singer as highly under the influence during the conversation and said that Murray should have known better than to continue to give Jackson the highly potent anesthetic.
He said: "What happened during that itme frame is that the acts and omission of Michael Jackson's personal doctor Conrad Murray directly led to his premature death at age 50."
He added that the star's "misplaced trust" in the doctor, "cost him his life."
Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and he and his attorneys have denied he gave Jackson anything that should have killed the pop superstar.
The trial continues.
