LAW ENFORCEMENT in Florida already reeling from the murders of four cops in the past few weeks now has another in the morgue. Florida corrections officer Col. Greg Molloy was assisting in a manhunt for a killer when he was shot and killed. The 44-year-old was part of the Holmes Correctional Institution's K-9 tracking team, which was assisting the Holmes County Sheriff's Office in the search for Wade Williams. The suspected killer was also shot to death.
Wacko Williams was wanted in the double homicide of his parents. The shootout happened near Bonifay in the Florida Panhandle.

"Words can never express our emotions when an officer falls in the line of duty," said Department of Corrections Secretary
Walt McNeil. "Tragedies such as today's underscore the dangers inherent in our profession, both inside and outside the prison walls. We extend our condolences to Greg's family and his co-workers."

CNN said Malloy began his career with the Department of Corrections in 1988.

A CO-WORKER SAID: “Those who knew him well are so distraught I don’t think they could talk right now,” said an employee at the Okaloosa Correc-tional Institution, where Malloy had worked for almost two decades.
