A SICKENING TAIL. A hillbilly headcase is in jail after locking his his wife in a dog cage. Feeble-minded Fred Thomas Willard Jr., 46, according to the local sheriff in Surry County, North Carolina. Cops say they were called to a domestic dispute Saturday.
A family friend had gone to the house after they couldn't reach Fred's wife. The pal told cops that the wife was in a dog cage and that he was able to persuade the wacko to release her.

Sheriff Graham Atkinson said the woman had been beaten with a dog
chain by headcase hubby during a fight and then as punishment, she was locked in the dog cage. The terrified woman was locked up for several hours and repeatedly beaten. She was taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released. He's charged with kidnapping and sits in jail.
