Gage Allen Turner, 20 and his girlfriend Amber Umbarger, 21, robbed the money three young girls had raised for a desperately ill toddler, by selling lemonade.
Along with two friends Chelsea Edwards, 13, had made more than $150 at her Warner, GA stand when the callous couple came up and started asking questions about the price.
Then she said: "The man bent down and seen the money jar, and he
grabbed it," before running off.
In his hurry to get away however, Turner jumped in his car and drove off without his girlfriend in tow.
She was quickly picked up at the scene.
Houston County Sheriff's Lt. Jon Holland called the robbery "a first" for him in his years of crime-fighting, saying: "I've never had a case where a child at a lemonade stand has been robbed."
