BODY IS MISSING NURSING STUDENT MICHELLE LE: COPS

ESTEBAN
LE
A BODY found Saturday has been confirmed as missing California nursing student Michelle Le, cops say.
Officers had feared the worst when the badly decomposed corpse was found in a brushy, remote dirt trail in a rugged canyon near Sunolby which we reported here.
But her body was so badly mangled that it took a series of tests by the coroner to confirm the horrible news.
Police said cell phone signals from Le and a former school friend Giselle Esteban, who they suspect in her death had been received from the area.
The 27-year-old was arrested earlier this month and charged with murder.
They told KGO that they suspect she attacked her former pal in the parking garage of the hospital where she was doing a clinical rotation.
Cell phone records show that both women's phones "traveled on a similar path" from the hospital to other locations in Alameda County immediately after Le disappeared, according to a police affidavit.
CCTV also shows her at the scene shortly before her disappearance and there was also evidence that she had been inside Le's Honda SUV, which was found about half-a-mile from the hospital where she disappeared.
Esteban denies having anything to do with Le's disappearance.
