Now, Michael George, 51, is on trial for killing his Barbara, who was 32 at the time of her death. The case was cold for years until detectives made a breakthrough. His murder trial began yesterday and his wife was described as a faithful, lovely woman with no known enemies. Hubby was different: he wanted to be the McDonald's of the comic book world, a comic book impresario like Ray Kroc. He also kept a secret love den where he could carry on his sordid affairs behind Barbara's back. He wanted to be rid of his overweight wife and get
into some super-charged sexual hijinks with babes like the women who adorned the covers of the comics he sold. Asst. Prosecutor Steve Fox said: "She wanted his love. He wanted a new life. He wanted to get rid of his overweight wife and get something better."George's trial continues today. He is charged with first and second-degree murder, insurance fraud and other stuff.
