PHOENIX cops have arrested and charged the mother of a missing girl with child abuse. Jerice Hunter was arrested on child abuse charges "directly related to [her missing 5-year-old daughter] Jhessye," Glendale Police Sgt. Brent Coombs said. Jhessye (JES'-ee) Shockley has been missing since Oct. 11 when she vanished from her Phoenix apartment.
Coombs said Monday detectives don't believe they'll find the girl alive and that Hunter "is our No. 1 focus."
