Rejected Rachel Craig first revenge porn arrest

WAYNESBORO, VIRGINIA --  A rejected Virginia woman is the first to be charged under the state's new "revenge porn" law. Cops say Rachel Lynn Craig, 28, of Waynesboro stole a naked photo of her ex-beau's new gal pal and posted it online.
“That was one thing we really had to establish. What was the intent of Ms. Craig for posting this?” Waynesboro police Sgt. Brian Edwards said “She considered the victim a romantic rival for this one individual's affections and she said that she did it out of anger."

Graham suspect Jesse Matthew eyed in 5 slayings

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINA -- Jesse Matthew Jr. is looking more and more like a potential serial killer. The man charged with kidnapping missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham -- who disappeared Sept. 13 -- is being eyed in a number of other unsolved homicides. Already, cops have linked Matthew to the 2009 slaying of co-ed Morgan Harrington, 20, who vanished after a Metallica concert and was later found dead.
Now, the Washington Post is reporting that he was also accused of two counts of sexual assault at other Virginia universities while he was a student. The first was at Liberty University in Lynchburg, and then at Christopher Newport University in Newport News. Both reports were investigated by police, but Matthew was never charged.

HAPPY ENDING: AUSTISTIC ROBERT WOOD JR FOUND

THERE was a happy ending to a frantic search for an autistic boy who went missing in a huge Virginia park this week. 
As we reported here Robert Wood Jr who doesn't really talk ran off from his father and disappeared into the 80 acre park, which didn't have any fences. 
Days went by and despite the canine squad picking up his scent and a huge search by more than 1500 volunteers, he remained hidden for more than six days, concerns rising by the hour.  
But eventually their persistence paid off and he was found by a citizen volunteer  in the fetal position, still in all his clothes. 

KRISTINA PONGRACZ KILLED LOVER, 77, WITH CANE

THEIR LOVE was doomed to fail. And now, Kristina N. Pongracz, 29, has pleaded no contest to the second-degree murder of her elderly boyfriend. She could now face five to 40 years in the big house. Cops say the pretty blonde gold digger savagely beat William Herchenrider with his cane in the large home they shared last May. It seems the old boy was ready to give the Virginia bad girl the boot. When cops arrived they found her passed out in her underwear with “a large amount of blood smeared all over her body” — blood that turned out to be Herchenrider’s. ARMY CAPT. LEONARD EGLAND MURDERS 4; KILLS SELF

IT WAS nothing short of a massacre and it ended in an abandoned lot. Cops in Bucks County, Pennsylvania said Sunday they found the body of a U.S. Army Captain they believe murdered four people, then wounded two cops.
The body of twisted Leonard John Egland, 37, of Fort Lee, Virginia was found in a Philly suburb. It's believed he blew his own brains out. The suicide ends a massive multi-state manhunt. Detectives believe Egland murdered his estranged wife, Carrie Egland, 36, Saturday in Chesterfield County, Va. Also killed were her new boyfriend and the boyfriend's young son, whom police have not identified.

MURDERED DANIELLE DENNIS-TOWNE FOUND IN TRUNK

CHICAGO TEEN Danielle Dennis-Towne had hoped to join the military in the fall. Instead, she is lying dead in a Virginia morgue, allegedly murdered by a friend.
Cops say blood and personal items found on a rural trail have led them to charge Enrico Luciano Mascaro, 19, with murder in the death of his friend Dennis-Towne. The two had been reported missing and authorities have not yet ID'd the body but sources say it is pretty blonde, Danielle Dennis-Towne. The body was found in the trunk of

VA. COP'S '84 SUICIDE REOPENED AS HOMICIDE PROBE

THE shots rang out in Gates County, North Carolina. It was March 1984. Three shots, then a fourth. For most of the past three decades, investigators believed the dead man lying face down in the creek had killed himself. He was Portsmouth, VA police officer Garland L. Joyner.
