ALIAYAH LUNSFORD CASE: FBI OFFERS $20G REWARD

THE FBI is offering a $20,000 reward in the case of missing 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford who was likely kidnapped from her West Virginia home more than a month ago. Investigators now believe foul play is involved in the case. FBI spokesman Jeff Killeen said he thought the time for the reward was right and is hopeful hunting season will help turn up clues. According to local reports: the FBI plans to release updated pictures of Aliayah in the next week. Investigators are still following up on leads and tips from the community and do not plan to scale down the search at all.  They recently wrapped up a search in the Vadis area of Lewis County, and that search helped them rule certain things out.

WHERE is Aliayah Lunsford? A month has passed since the 3-year-old girl vanished from her West Virginia home and cops seem no closer to making an arrest in the case. She was last seen Sept. 24. Now, the FBI says there are few clues in the case but grimly say there is little hope the happy go lucky child is still alive. Family friend Teresa Hathaway said she does not regret the hours she has volunteered hunting for the child. She said: "I'm a grandmother and she's the same age as two of my grandchildren and your heart just kind of melts, especially when it's a small child. It kind of takes over from there."
Still, she's confident the feds will make an arrest in the sickening case. "They know what they're doing."

MISSING AALIYAH LUNSFORD'S MOTHER ARRESTED

THE MOM of missing Aliayah Lunford, 3, has been arrested on a food stamps scam in West Virginia. Cops say Lena Lunsford tranferred a food stamps card in her name to another person who bought $114 in food in exchange for $50 cash. But cops were cagey about whether the mom was a suspect in the little girl's disappearance. FBI Agent Jeff Killeen said: "I'm not going over who's a suspect... We're not labeling anybody a suspect at this time. That investigation remains ongoing. We're still committed to resolving this case favorably." CHILLING 911 FROM MISSING AILIYAH LUNSFORD'S MOM

ALIAYAH LUNSFORD has been missing two weeks and still there are no answers into the 3-year-old West Virginia girl's disappearance. A massive search has turned up little but investigators now believe she was kidnapped. Local TV station 5 News made an FOI request regarding her mom Lena's 911 call.

LENA: My baby's missing!
That's how the 911 call started the Saturday morning Lena Lunsford reported her daughter Aliayah missing. She explains the last time she saw the girl.
LENA: This morning, real early, I went in and checked on her because she's been sick with the flu.
911: That was the last time you saw her, was at 6:30 this morning?

FBI AGENTS now believe the mysterious disappearance of Aliayah Lunsford is either a murder or an abduction. Initially, it was thought the 3-year-old West Virginia girl had wandered off from her Bendale, W. VA home on Sept. 24. Her mother Lena told cops that Aliayah was in bed that morning at 6:30 a.m. but there has been no sign of her since. Thousands of volunteers helped hunt for the girl last week, but as of Monday only professionals remained involved in the search. The target area is a 5-mile radius around the Lunsford home. 'NO CLUES' IN DISAPPEARANCE OF AALIYAH LUNSFORD, 3

THE FBI has joined a frantic hunt for missing Aaliyah Lunsford, 3, who disappeared from her West Virginia home on Saturday. Authorities remain hopeful the child is alive and are working on that assumption. She was last seen when her mother checked on her around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, but was gone by 9:30 a.m. Hundreds of volunteers have searched local rivers and forests in a desperate search for the girl but have so far found little. Aaliyah was last seen wearing her purple Dora the Explorer pajamas. So far cops have stopped short of calling the disappearance a crime. Sgt. Mike Posey said: "Right now, there are no clues leading us anywhere. No clues. It's like she's just disappeared." An Amber Alert has not been issued because authorities have no suspect, car or license plate to alert motorists to look out for.
