Cops in Indiana fear a New York co-ed may have met with foul play after she vanished Friday after a night of partying at a Midwest bar. Lauren Spierer, 20, a pretty blonde sophomore at Indiana University was last spotted in bare feet walking home alone in Bloomington.
Her dad Robert told the New York Post: "It's every parent's nightmare." Surveillance video from her apartment complex reveals she never made it home and her keys were discovered a block away from where she was last seen. Investigators are now scouring nearby woods, dumpsters and back alleys for any sign of the petite student--who stands just 4'11" and weighs a mere 100 lbs. Her wealthy parentshave flown to Indiana to help with the search say she has a heart defect and requires meds.

* TEACHER DOROTHY 'COME TO MY CLASS' DIXON: Oh dear. It appears another of America's educators flew too close to the sun. This time is Coweta, Georgia teacher Dorothy Dixon. The 29-year-old sultry brunette has been charged with one count of child molestationafter her husband ratted her out. Dirty Dorothy works with troubled teens and her hubby found a slew of text messages. He thought it was another man but it was really a 15-year-old boy taught by our Dorothy. In one text message Dixon asked the student if her “boots were sexy” and talked about “sneaking away together,” according to the arrest warrant. Dixon also revealed the relationship to another work colleague, deputies said.

 * NEW HUNT FOR LONG ISLAND SERIAL KILLER: Cops in New York say they are going to renew their searches for victims whose remains were dumped on remote beaches.
Recent aerial shots taken by police helicopters have prompted the new search. So far, the remains of 10 bodies have been found. Cops believe the killer has been preying on prostitutes who use craigslist.

CHRIS CHEARY SAYS HE DIDN'T MURDER SOPHIA ACOSTA

THE MONSTER accused of murder in the May sex slaying of little Sophia Acosta entered a plea of not guilty yesterday. Cops say Chris Cheary, 20, murdered, assaulted and tortured Sophia in Tulare County, California. If convicted he faces the death penalty.
Sophia's uncle Nick Williams said: "I hope that he gets everything that's coming to him. It does give some closure. You know, it gives some satisfaction, but we want to see it through til the end."

Doctor's were shocked when they examined the malnourished girl, who's ribs were clearly visible.

EXPERT: CASEY ANTHONY'S CAR SMELL 'SHOCKING'

CASEY Anthony's car smelled "extremely, overwhelming strong" of human decomposition a forensic expert testified yesterday. Dr Arpad Vass, a researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, also known as the "body farm" for its study of human decomposition called the smell "shocking" at the trial yesterday. Prosecutor's allege that smell came from Casey two-year-old daughter, Caylee, who they claim was murdered by her mother. 
He said: "I jumped back a foot or two. It was shocking that strong of an odor could be in that little can."

DIRTY cop Drew Peterson, who is suspected of killing his third and fourth wives has asked to be released from jail while a court considers his case. 

The one time "Police Officer of the Year" award winner's third wife Kathleen Savio was found drowned in a bathtub in their Bollingbrook home and was initially ruled accidental until further examination cast doubt on that. 

Will County State Attorney James Glasgow told the said that after examining evidence in the case, he believed that the death was a "homicide staged to look like an accident.

His fourth wife Stacey Peterson disappeared in October 2007. 

Her body has never been found and Peterson maintains that she called to say she was leaving him for another man.

BASEBALL legend Lenny Dykstra has been busted for drugs and for his role in an elaborate car theft scheme, cops say.
The three time All Star nicknamed "Nails" during his career is accused of being part a three man team who tried to lease high-end cars from dealers this year by providing phony information and claiming credit through a fake business called Home Free Systems. Cops also found cocaine, Ecstasy and the synthetic human growth hormone Somatropin at his San Fernando Valley home.

 COPS in San Antonio, Texas have nabbed the thug they say murdered one of their own. On Sunday afternoon, Mark Anthony Gonzales, 41, was arrested at his home in connection with the murder of Sgt. Kenneth Vann. On May 28, Vann was murdered in cold blood as he sat at a traffic light. The triggerman came up beside him and blasted away. Vann didn't even have time to draw his weapon.

KID, 11, CALLS IN SCHOOL BOMB THREAT AS A "JOKE"

WELL that's one way to get out of school - but definitely not the smartest, that's for sure.
An 11-year-old called in a bomb threat to his school, threatening to blow up students and shoot teachers because he was "bored."
The fifth-grader's message to Indiana's Yorktown Community Schools voicemail system sent the district into lockdown, as officers and sniffer dogs scrambled to search for the explosives.
Marshal Todd St. John tells The Star Press that the boy told officers he called in the threat because he was bored and meant it as a joke.

MAN CHARGED FOR PAYING BILL - WITH 2500 PENNIES

HE wasn't happy with his medical bill, which said he owed $25 but to be fair to him he did pay it - just with 2500 pennies.
Jason West walked into the Basin Clinic in Vernal, UT, asked staff members whether accepted cash and then dumped the loose change on the counter and demanded they count it according to the town's Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell.
He added: “The pennies were strewn about the counter and the floor,” and that his actions served; "no legitimate purpose."    
So they issued the 38-year-old West a citation for disorderly conduct. That carries a fine of as much as $140. Or 14,000 pennies.

But then prime suspect Jose S. Rodriguez vanished after the 2004 killings, which shocked Chicago's, Cicero neighborhood and he hasn't been seen in the seven years since.
Now FBI officer's believe their man, who they consider to be "armed and dangerous" may be comfortable enough to return to the Windy City and they're urging anyone who sees him to turn him. 
The 48-year-old is accused of fatally shooting Gabriella Rodriguez, who he did not know and was not related to, despite having the same last name on November 6, 2004 after a fight broke out.

CANADIAN KIDS OFFERED FOR SALE ON KIJIJI

IT turned out to be a harmless prank - a kid placing an advert on sales website offering two children for sale. Stating that the children had to be gone in a week or they'd be put on the streets, the ad included photos and a brief description of the youngsters.  
But after spending time investigating, cops who were tipped off by a concerned member of the public, were none too happy when they found out that a 16-year-old from Chatham, Ontario was behind the ad.
He admitted posting as a joke and apologized for the prank after he was warned about his actions.

THE trial for the alleged "Baseline Killer" who terrorized Phoenix raping, robbing and leaving nine of them people dead, all but one of them women, is set to start this week.
Wearing hats, wigs and masks Mark Goudeau, 46, is accused of snatching women off the street - some in broad daylight - and raping them.
If they resisted they were shot to death.
One survivor only lived because her assailant's gun misfired. He is already serving a 438-year prison sentence for September 2005 sexual assaults against two sisters - one of whom was six month pregnant at the time.
As they walked home from the park , he jumped them at gunpoint and held his pistol between her legs and made her beg for her baby's life. Goudeau was convicted of those rapes in 2007.

RETIRED G-MAN NAMES KILLER IN 1951 TENN. COLD CASE

A NEW book by a retired FBI agent hopes to finally name a killer in a notorious unsolved Tennessee homicide. Murder in Harrill Hills by Bob Allen explores the 1951 slaying of Mary Tabler Hankins, 27, shot to death in her home. She was found by her husband Fred, her life hanging by a thread. She later died and for 60 years the files have gathered dust.
