MERCHANT OF DEATH VIKTOR BOUT TRIAL BEGINS

MERCHANT OF DEATH?
THE alleged arms dealer dubbed the 'Merchant of Death' was described as 'maniacal' on the opening day of his trial yesterday. 
Viktor Bout stands accused of providing a massive arsenal of weapons to “kill Americans,” as part of his alleged global network of illegal arms trafficking.
Prosecutors are also claiming that he made $50 million alone from supplying weapons to the Taliban after decades of providing weapons to countries like Lybia and the Congo.   
Kathi Lynn Austin, director of the Conflict Awareness Project, who has followed Bout for 15 years called the Russian born Bout, who describes himself as a businessman, as "maniacal" as the trial started.

CANNIBAL LURED VICTIM WITH PROMISE OF SEX

BETWEEN HURRICANE IRENE and the MTV Awards it was a very quiet weekend. But that doesn't mean that's the case in Russia. It seems there has been a rash of, gulp, cannibal murders in the Old FSU. Most recently, a 21-year-old man in Murmansk asked a stranger to come home with him, then stabbed the unfortunate comrade to death then ate him. It brings up the sickening memories of cannibal serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, pictured.

DUI GUY TRIES DIALLING WITH CIGARETTE PACK

HE really didn't help his case with this.
Because after he was pulled over for drunk driving, this Russian guy then attempted to make a phone call with a packet of cigarettes. It was clearly very important, although obviously a bit boring because then he seems to fall asleep on the officer's shoulder. Needless to say their keen eyes spotted his mistake and picked him up.
