LAUREN SPIERER'S MOM MAKES HEARTBREAKING PLEA

ON JUNE 3, pretty blonde New York co-ed Lauren Spierer, 20, disappeared after a night of heavy partying in Bloomington, Indiana where she attended university. She has not been seen since and numerous searches have turned up little evidence. Her parents have been on the ground since Day 1. Here is her mom Charlene's open letter:

DMITRY SMIRNOV PLEADS GUILTY IN VESEL MURDER

THEY BARELY dated for a few weeks but Dmitry 'Crazy Dmitry' Smirnov was having none of it. And 2 1/2 years after the split he then stalked and murdered Jitka Vesel. On Friday, he pleaded guilty to murdering the 36-year-old beauty and now he has been sentenced to life in prison. Smirnov showed no emotion in court, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. He shot Vesel 12 times in a parking lot.
He told the court: “Because you can’t just expect to just dump someone like that and ignore them for two years and...to get away with it with no consequences and, you know, just waste someone’s life like that."
The pair met online and the Canadian man later travelled to Chicago in December 2008 to stay with her for several weeks. Smirnov returned to Canada and the relationship crashed. She cut off all contact.

MADMAN MURDERS 5 IN TEXAS ROLLER RINK MASSACRE

IN A SPLIT second of madness, five people were shot and killed at a Grande Prairie, Texas roller rink Saturday and the gunman then blew his brains out. Cops say the killer calming pulled out a pistol and started shooting during a birthday party. It was a domestic disturbance that spiraled out of control.
Police Chief Steven Dye said: "We are still working on identifying the victims, and we are still working on notifying the families."

MOM JULIETTE DUNN FED BABY COCAINE AND BOOZE

SOME people just shouldn't be parents and Juliette Dunn is definitely one, because for some reason she thought it was a good idea to feed her 10-month-old baby cocaine and beer.
According to the Conneticut Post, the 29-year-olds from, Success Village, was sitting with pal Lisa Jefferson on a playground when another mom flagged down cops and complained that she was feeding her child beer.
Officers spotted and empty 40-ounce Steele Reserve beer on the ground next to her four-year-old son and a baby bottle that stank of booze.
According to their report witnesses told them that Jefferson told the youngster to chug the beer - and then called him an alcoholic when he finished.

SHE was supposed to be flipping burgers, instead she flipped out and launched a Mac attack on a terrified mom in the McDonalds where she was a manager. All Jennifer Schwenker wanted was a happy meal with her autistic twins in the Marietta, GA store. 
But for some reason Tiffany Denise Allen, who was off duty at the time, got annoyed with the service dog she brought with her and started to follow her around the store. 
Then she punched her in the face in the parking lot.

SERIAL KILLER ANTHONY SOWELL GUILTY OF 11 MURDERS

CREEPY Anthony Sowell is the serial killer we all knew he was, a jury ruled yesterday.
The twisted former marine lured 11 women to his grotty apartment in his drug ridden Cleveland neighborhood with the promise of booze or crack cocaine.
Then he stuck, brutally beating them or throttling them to death, in a vicious crack cocaine fueled rage.
Calling no witnesses, he barely offered any explanation for his brutality, other than the nightmares brought on by the deadly drug -all of which involved him hurting women.
When he woke up they were gone.
He will now face the death penalty for the slayings after being convicted of multiple counts of aggravated murder and a number of other offenses.

MISSING Indiana University co-ed Lauren Spierer was so wrecked the night she disappeared that she stumbled, fell and had to be helped to her feet by a male friend who led her out of the building, new video evidence reveals.
