HIGH LEVEL, ALBERTA  – A Canadian woman has been sentenced to just 3 months in jail... why you ask? Viola Ribbonleg, 33, wasn't paying attention to her 10-month-old baby Lexi when the child fell into a batch of homemade booze in the family trailer and drowned.  Oh, it was beside the child's bed. Viola herself was hammered on the hootch at the time. She pleaded guilty earlier this year to criminal negligence causing death. Mom and the two were passed out on the floor when he awoke.

A DUMB mom has been busted trying to sell her eight-month-son for $7000, cops said. 
Kenia Quiala Bosque arranged a meeting to hand over the newborn, unaware that the prospective buyer was an undercover cop. 
Officers had been tipped about her intentions and launched a sting to catch out the dastardly parent. 
But although she set a fee and arranged a meeting with the supposed buyer, she failed to show up to the meeting near her Miami, FL home.
Still, investigators said they had enough evidence to arrest her on baby selling charges.

THERE are bad parents and then there are Mary and Christopher Sultze - who decided to starve their baby because they were afraid she would end up obese. 
Doctors began tracking the girl's lack of growth and weight gain at her four-month checkup in November 2010, when she weighed just 7 pounds, 9 ounces.
Rather than help them the Sultze's told them that they were concerned about their daughter's weight and insisted they were feeding her enough.  
Months went by with no significant improvement and as one doctor told the court yesterday, "the child had no fat on her body and we essentially starving."

Not only did Charice Moss think it was a good idea to throw a lit cigarette at his six-month-old baby and her mom Ivy Brown and then burned down her apartment, when she ran off.

Officers spotted and empty 40-ounce Steele Reserve beer on the ground next to her four-year-old son and a baby bottle that stank of booze.
According to their report witnesses told them that Jefferson told the youngster to chug the beer - and then called him an alcoholic when he finished.

Patty Bigbee, 47, accepted a check for $30,000 for two-month-old Aiden Flemming, with the full knowledge of her daughter Stephanie Bigbee-Davis, 22, who wanted to buy a car with the money.
In a weird twist the potential buyer was Danielle Skiver, who she had given up for adoption almost 30-years ago.
They had recently reconnected on Facebook when during one of their conversations Skiver mentioned that she wanted a baby.
Rather than offer support, Bigbee offered her grandson who she knew her other daughter didn't really want.

Heidi Lynn Knowles, was walking around the Vancouver, WA, fast food joint trying to peddle her newborn baby boy taking bids from anywhere between $500 to $5000.
Deputies said she seemed drunk or high, but Knowles, who also goes by her married name Heidi Lynn Gasaway, insisted she had been clean of methamphetamine for over a year.
