HE set up the camera to catch ghosts, but he reviewed the footage, he found something altogether more shocking - his girlfriend, sleeping with her own 16-year old son.
After months of strange noises and bumps in the night, the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, decided to search for definitive evidence of the supernatural in his old home in Hobart, Australia.
So he began recording parts of the house overnight, analysing the footage each day for ghostly figures.
But then one day he forgot to switch the machine off, when he set off for work.

CMPD detective Keith Way told WCNC: "I see a lot of parents who have a problem with their children. It become's really desperate. I think at this particular time the best choice was made."
The youth has now been charged with misdemeanour larceny and will go to juvenile court, something his neighbours find hilarious.
One, Fred Patrick told reporters: "He seems real nice to me. I mean, he's real respectful."
Latasha however, was less than polite, hurling an obscenity, before disappearing inside her home.

Idiot parent Cindy Marie Cantu and he douchebag boyfriend Kyle Erwin for some reason thought it would be a good idea to nail her toddler into a disgusting bedroom of her Marietta, GA, home.
The three-year-old was found trapped with no access to food and water and surrounded by filth according to arrest warrants.
They stated: "The condition of the home presented hazards such as insects, fecal matter, rotting food, soiled diapers, standing water in the shower, and general unclean conditions of the home."

HOLLYWOOD legend Michael Douglas' druggie son will not be snitching on his dealer after the feds decided to dump him.
As we reported here the star's canary son, Cameron,  was sentenced to five years for dealing meth out of a high end Manhattan hotel.
But in a desperate bid to have his sentence reduced, he agreed to give evidence against David Escalera, who is charged with conspiracy for his role in a drug smuggling ring.
His lawyer last month called Douglas a "manipulator" and a "liar" in court last month, adding that he would say anything to get out of jail time.

But Heidi and Mark Siebenaler's youngster, Luke, was so annoyed wit the marijuana smoke filling their home that he took pics of the pot and sent them to the police.
Agents then served a search warrant on their home in Hastings MN, home and found two Wal-mart shopping bags in the master bedroom.
Worse still, Heidi is a Dakota county probation supervisor.

A DEADBEAT dad left his autistic six-year-old son in the car, so he could go to a bar has been charged with child endangerment.
Booze hound Kenny Keene was busted after cops found the boy on the backseat of his car outside a Scottsdale, AZ home.
A concerned member of the public had called them in after allegedly watching the boy sleep for 20 minutes, during which time no one came to check on the child.
When cops arrived there was no sign of Keene and the boy was sleeping on the backseat of his car.
They told KSAZ that it wasn't hot outside and that when they arrived after 9 at night the windows were cracked with enough space "sufficient for someone with an average sized arm to reach into the vehicle."
That's where the charge of endangerment of a minor comes in.

DRUNK MOM NIKKI SETTLE TOSSED SON TO ESCAPE DUI

A DRUNK mom tossed her her son over a fence while fleeing from her car which she'd crashed while driving under the influence.  
None to bright Nikki Settle, 25, already had a suspended license when she smashed her car on into the median on South Carolina's Interstate 26.
But rather than hang around, the dumb mom, scooped her son out of her white Lexus, walked across the highway and up a hill.
She then tried to toss the four-year-old over a 10ft tall fence.
Needless to say the horrified witnesses, who'd watched her driving erratically before the crash, stepped in and according to WHNS she talked her out of hurting her son until deputies arrived.
Thankfully an EMS check revealed the boy, who authorities turned over to his grandmother, was unharmed.

Well instead of being embarrassed or a least a little humbled by the experience, he has insisted that he didn't do anything wrong - in fact he's joking about the whole thing.
The 35-year-old told KTLA: "Yeah I was trying to kill my son. No of course I was not trying to kill my son. We were playing in the shallows.
"We were just screwing around, just horse playing. We jumped in together and thought it would be funny."
But his claims fly in the face of at least 80 fellow passengers who said that Briles was drunkenly arguing with the boy, hitting him, before tossing him over the side.
