HOLLYWOOD legend Michael Douglas' druggie son was called "a manipulator" and "a liar" by the lawyer defending an accused drug dealer. Cameron Douglas was sentenced to five years in prison last year for dealing methamphetamine from a high-end Manhattan hotel.
And if lawyer lawyer Louis Aidala is to be believed he is now testifying against his client David Escalera in return for a lesser prison sentence. In a blistering series of barbs against the Oscar winning actor's son, he painted a picture of a canary desperate to get out of his jail time.
According to the
NY Daily News he said: "The evidence will prove
that Cameron Douglas is a manipulator, one of the most cunning you ever met,"
Escalera, who is charged with conspiracy for his role in a drug-smuggling ring denies the charges although prosecutors could call Douglas to the stand under a cooperation agreement requiring him to testify against one of his alleged suppliers.
