RODNEY ALCALA SUSPECTED IN '77 SAN FRAN SLAYING

LAMBSON
ALCALA
EVIL serial killer Rodney Alcala is now the prime suspect in the 1977 sex slaying of a San Francisco woman. Currently residing on California';s death row at San Quentin, the bizarrely coiffed killer was also charged earlier this year with two unsolved slayings in New York.
Now, the former Dating Game contestant is suspected in the sex and torture strangling murder of Pamela Jean Lambson on Oct. 8, 1977. Lambson--an aspiring actress disappeared from Fisherman's Wharf--after she went to meet a photographer.
A police composite sketch eerily resembles Alcala during the height of his killing hey day. Lambson's
naked body was discovered a day later--ironically, just a mile or so from San Quentin.

Her mother, Jean Lambson, now 78, and living in Utah told the Orange County Register she closure by forgiving her daughter's killer. But the pain still runs deep.
"He took my precious daughter's life, and we were all crippled by it," she said. "I felt so devastated that I wanted to die. If I could just die, I wouldn't have to feel this pain. It was so intense, I could hardly bear it."
