WHAT A STEAL - BRIDGE |
Quite how they managed to spirit away the structure in the North Beaver Township, in Western PA, is unclear but cops think they may have used a blowtorch to cut it into pieces.
Cops say they believe the corrugated steel bridge was worth about $100,000 and that the thieves intend to sell it for scrap metal.
A state police insider revealed: "Although it was in quite a remote area, it's pretty impressive that they managed not only to get it down, but also transfer it without anyone noticing. We will find the guys who did this though. Mark my words."
