Loco James Frank Salazar, 40, hopped onto the roof of a train in Grand Junction, CO in the hope of a free ride to work.
But as the train whooshed past his destination, Parachute, he called police on his cell phone and asked them to stop it.
Glenwood Springs Police Chief Terry Wilson said: “He called us around 11:40 p.m., asking us to stop the train because he was freezing and wanted to get off.”
Salazar later told police he was bound for Parachute, where he was scheduled to work a job the next day, Wilson added.
