THE heir to the legendary Mitchell Brothers porn empire got 35 to life for the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend and kidnapping their young daughter. James Mitchell, 29, viciously attacked clubbed Danielle Keller, also 29 to death in their Navato home, before fleeing with their child.Cops caught up with him and his unharmed one-year-old about five hours later, after his car ran out of gas. According to KPIX all throughout the trial Mitchell denied killing Keller, who he claimed that he: "Still loved her."
Instead he said that two other men were at the
home when he arrived and said they were responsible for the killing. He told the court that he felt that he had been unfairly tainted by the Mitchell Brothers porn empire, of which he wanted no part.
He said: “I was just born with my father’s name. It was nothing but poison in the water and a flock of sheep running over a cliff at the sound of ‘James Mitchell."
But after a jury found him guilty last month Marin County Superior Court Judge Kelly Simmons sentenced Mitchell to 26 years to life for first-degree murder and use of a weapon, and nine years for domestic violence battery and kidnapping.
