THE SUSPECT? |
A six-year-old brought a loaded gun into school and injured himself and two fellow students when it fell out of his pocket and fired as he sat down for lunch.
Quite how the KINDERGARTEN pupil got hold of it, is still being investigated but he certainly gave everyone a fright when the pistol
went off in the cafeteria of the Betsy Ross Elementary School, in Houston, TX.
Luckily the shot fired into the floor, spraying fragments of the floor around and while the students were injured, no one was seriously hurt.
Mock added the injuries were caused by: "Either some type of chips off the floor, or it could be pieces of the round that discharged.
"They had some cuts and stuff on their legs, they don't appear to be life threatening."
Two 6-year-old boys, and a 5-year-old girl, were all injured in the foot.
All three children were put on stretchers and taken to ambulances, to be checked out at a hospital.
Authorities said they were still investigating the source of the gun.
