A DETROIT-area man has confessed to dismembering pretty Pamela Prpich, 32, and then dumping her body but says he didn't kill her. OK. The unnamed suspect who lived in the autoworker's building confessed to cops. Prpich's torso was found in a suitcase floating in a river near her apartment. Her own brother made the sickening discovery. Cops say they found more of her body in Prince's apartment stuffed in a container in a closet.
Police Chief Ray Canterbury said: "When we opened it — the smell. We said, 'This is the crime scene.' We went in there and the place was
in good order. There was nothing out of place, and it didn't look like a body would be dismembered there at all."
Cops still do not know the cause of death, and a Wayne County spokesman said the Medical Examiner's Office doesn't have enough of the body to perform an autopsy. Prpich was last seen Aug. 12 and reported missing three days later. Neighbors said the man in custody suffers from lung cancer, but regularly smoked cigarettes, drank alcohol and took pain killers. He also used to work as a butcher. The man "talked to himself" and was "suspicious." MORE IN THE DETROIT NEWS
