REBECCA ZAHAU'S DEATH 'WAS SUICIDE': COPS

"SUICIDE"
THE GIRLFRIEND  of a multimillionaire medical tycoon who was found hanging in his mansion with her hands and feet bound, committed suicide, sources close to the investigation have revealed.
Rebecca Zahau's mysterious death shocked the wealthy Coronado, CA, especially as it came just a day after boyfriend Jonah Shacknai's six-year-old son, Max,  fell down the grand staircase in his 27 bedroom mansion.
It was believed Zahau, also known as Rebecca Nalepa, was supposed to be looking after the boy, who died a few days later from severe brain injuries and the guilt may have got to her.
Police sources have however told NBC San Diego that The millionaire had been questioned about the death, but detectives are now reasonably confident that the death was suicide.
The millionaire had told investigators he was holding a desperate vigil by his son's bedside at the time of Miss Nalepa's death, which seemed to stand up.
Retired homicide detective Rick Carlson told the station: "I could see a person binding their hands so they wouldn't be able to help themselves trying to get out of the noose once they committed the act of hanging."
"It really doesn't seem a reason why they would bind their feet."
Nalepa was found by Mr Shacknai's brother, Adam, who was staying in the mansion's guesthouse to offer support after Max's accident.
Their investigation continues.
