KILLER BUSTED FOR ALYSSA OTREMBA, 15, RAPE, MURDER

BRUTAL
A TWISTED killer plucked a teenage girl from the street as she was walking home, brutally stabbed her to death and then burned her body in a vacant lot in North Las Vegas.
Alyssa Otremba, 15, had texted her family to say she would be home within half-an-hour, just arfter 6:30 on Friday evening.
But she never made it.
The next day family and friends found Alyssa's scorched body in a vacant lot on the edge of town, on the route she would have taken home.
She had been stabbed around 40 times before being set on fire, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
The following Monday cops got a tip from Elizabeth Morales, 18, who claimed her boyfriend, 19-year-old Daniel Ortiz may know something about the brutal murder.
In an interview with detectives, Ortiz said he met his pal Javier Righetti, also 19, at his house, who then confessed to committing several robberies and killing a young girl.
Ortiz gave Righetti a ride to a convenience store, where Righetti bought gasoline and matches.
He denied going into the house with his pal and setting fire to the body.
Cops said Righetti was read his rights before admitting robbing, raping and stabbing Alyssa with a kitchen knife from his house, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
He also confessed to a second robbery and rape, according to his arrest report, but no further details were released.
He is now being held on charges of murder, kidnapping, robbery and sexual assault.
Alyssa's mother, Scott Otremba, said he and his family are thankful for the outpouring of support from the community.
At least 200 people gathered Wednesday night to honor Alyssa during a candlelight vigil in Arbor View High School's parking lot on Whispering Sands and Buffalo drives.
She said: "It was hard not to love her. She had an infectious laugh and smile."
