THE BRIEF and tumultuous marriage that ended with a sensational murder-for-hire plot is now over.
As we reported here, former escort Dalia Dippolito tried to bump off her husband Michael, so she could get her hands on his Boyton Beach, FL home.
But the former escort girl's plot was foiled when the former lover she'd approached to find a hitman, tipped off the cops.
They set up an elaborate sting operation and caught Dippolito's crocodile tears on video, when they told her that her husband had been killed, which immediately caused a sensation.  
At her trial, which garnered international attention,  she claimed her husband was in on the plot and they made the whole thing up in hopes of landing a reality TV show.
But Michael denied any role in the affair, saying: "It's just something you can't imagine anybody could really do. It was so senseless for a girl, my wife, in the position she was in, to take those steps to do that. It was so unnecessary.
"We got along very well, we did everything together. If you listen to how her family talk about her how good of person she was, when I met her I was under the same impression."
Sentencing her to 20-years the judge called her: "Pure Evil" but she remains out on bond as she appeals her conviction.
Under the divorce agreement, Michael Dippolito will get to keep the couple's Boynton Beach townhome and everything in it.
Each will keep assets they brought into the marriage and will be responsible for their own debts.
Michael Dippolito's divorce attorney Jason Brodie told the Palm Beach Post: "He's looking forward to moving on with his life and putting this behind him.
"As much as he wishes the criminal part of this was over as well, he understands that this is part of the process."
Dalia Dippolito's attorney, Michael Salnick, also said his client is happy the divorce is final.
