NEVADA COUNCILLOR KILLS HUBBY, THEN SELF

Tragic
CITY councilwoman Donna Fairchild killed her husband, called the cops and then turned the gun on herself, police say.
The 52-year-old was under pressure on Nevada's Mesquite council and faced removal as the town's delegate to a regional business organization at a council meeting scheduled for the night of her death.
The night before the killings, she requested a meeting with the mayor and City Council to turn in her resignation.
The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, just hours before the City Council meeting that could decide her political future
But rather than face the humiliation, Fairchild who was born in Munich, Germany, and lived in Izmir, Turkey, Delaware and Denver, where she was an emergency medical technician-paramedic, planned her suicide and the murder of her husband Bill, 62.

They'd been married for more than 20-years. Nearly an hour after she allegedly killed her husband, she sent an e-mail to her friend.
"I have left a box full of items for my Mom by your front door," it said, according to the Mesquite Local News.
"Please make sure she gets it! I know this will never make sense. I am sorry. Thank you for being my BFF. Donna."
Then she called the cops to report her suicide, giving her address and saying her door would be unlocked and that she would be "post-suicide" by the time help arrived, police said.
Officers found the bodies in the couple's back bedroom two minutes later.
