Now the veteran quarterback’s sister has been arrested in a Crystal Meth bust. Brandi Favre, 34, was busted in Diamondhead, Mississippi and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and generating hazardous waste.
Hancock County Sheriff's Maj. Matt Karl, director of narcotics, told ABC News here: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/brandi-favres-arrest-adds-brother-brett-favres-troubles/story?id=12607830 that Brandi was "at the location" at the time of the raid. Officers found nine grams of methamphetamine and another 10 grams of the drug cooking in the bathtub.
After swapping clothes for prison scrubs, she was freed on a $40,000 bond, pending trial.
Both counts are felonies so if she’s convicted, Brandi faces fines up to $1 million in fines and 30 years in the slammer for each count.
It is not the first time the former Miss Teen Mississippi has run in with the law.
Back in 1996 she was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon during a drive-by shooting near a motel in Louisiana. No one was injured in the shooting and Brandi, then 20, completed a diversion program to remove the arrest from her record. She has also been arrested for shoplifting.
Brett meanwhile is no stranger to trouble himself, after recently being slapped with a sexual harrassment lawsuit.
