Dunn, 30, was married with two young children. He had been a cop in Sandusky the past three years.
ACCORDING TO THE NEWS-MESSENGER: Suspected gunman Kevin Randleman, according to the Erie County Sheriffs Office, has had trouble with the law before. He previously served time for convictions that include carrying a concealed weapon, drug trafficking, menacing and assault. In 1990, Randleman was arrested and charged with aggravated murder, but was acquitted of the charges in trial.
"It is a very sad day in the city, and we are extremely sorry that this happened, but we are going to do our best, in cooperation with the Erie County Sherrif's Office, to continue on with our daily routine," said Sandusky Police Chief Jim Lang. "He was a fine young officer."
