DETECTIVES: CRAIGSLIST KILLER "MAY BE FORMER COP"

THE evil Craigslist serial killer who dumped eight bodies of murdered escorts on a remote Long Island beach maybe a former cop, investigators say.
Officials probing the case think his "organized and methodical" approach along with other evidence suggest the suspect maybe knowledgeable of detective's techniques. 
One investigator familiar with the case and the behavior of serial killers believes told ABC that the monster responsible for these killings probably above average intelligence. 
He said it appears the killer usually lures people, kills them in one place and then disposes the body in another, ABC News reports.

This killer is often social, according to the investigator, and would appear to have a normal life with family and friends as opposed to being a loner. 
Cops have been looking into numerous people with possible links to the four slain women who have been identified since the investigation began, and are also looking at people with regular access to the beach where the bodies were found.
They are also exploring possible links to the serial killer who murdered prostitutes in New Jersey, officials have said. 
Looking for the remains of  24-year-old Craigslist escort Shannan Gilbert investigators found four skeletal bodies of female prostitutes in the remote Suffolk County beachspot.
Four more bodies that have yet to be identified were found when officers returned to the area in the past two week. None of the found victims, however, is Gilbert, whose case remains open.
MEANWHILE, according to the New York Post one of the four sets of remains found on Long Island belongs to a baby or child--not a grown woman. Either the victim isn't related to the other slayings or the case has taken a new, even more sinister turn.
"One doesn't match the others. It's a young person, possibly as young as an infant, or a child," a law enforcement source told the paper. "If that's the case, then that wouldn't fit the pattern."
