Despite being branded a compulsive liar by all, including her own lawyer Jose Baez, the 25-year-old is now likely to be inundated with interview requests according to media expert Steve Hay.
He said: "This case has captured the public's imagination and the verdict has both appalled and excited in equal measure.
"Given that she didn't testify, no one aside from a few people no one knows what she thought about her daughter's death, during the court case and now she has been acquitted those opinions could be worth millions.
"The first TV interview will be worth a fortune and if she writes her autobiography, it could quite easily be a bestseller.
"Just because most of the public are reviled by her and think she did it, it doesn't mean they won't pay for her side of the story."
But although she could be in line for a small fortune, rebuilding the relationship with her family could be considerably harder.
Speaking after the verdict her lawyer Jose Baez said: "The family hopes that they will be given the time by the media to reflect on this verdict and decide the best way to move forward privately."
But after her defense team accused her father George of the murder and implied that both he and her brother Lee sexually abused Casey, it's thought her reception could be frosty
