
May 9 attempted armed robbery and Ison left DNA at the pharmacy before he escaped. A positive match was made to Ison, officials said. Ison was put under surveillance Tuesday and picked up during a traffic stop. During the bust there was evidence that may link him to the slayings. There may also be additional arrests.
The police said: "Along with the information gained from their search warrant, along with the information gained from the arrest ... we feel fairly confident that we have a very good person of interest in the murders." The victims are: Roy D. Napier, 50; Angela Napier, 47; Melissa Napier, 23; Jacob Napier, 18; and Henry Smith, 43. All five were residents of Laurel, Indiana. They were all shot in the head.
