"ANGRY" |
Angry Sandra Jarrett was mad that the package which her husband claimed held "valuable jewels" she'd left in a hotel on vacation and arranged to have sent back to her Minnetonka, Minnespta home.
When they arrived days after she'd been expecting them the cranky 61-year-old told the driver she wanted his supervisor's number, so she could complain. But when he tried to go, she got her bolt action .22 rifle and told him he "was not leaving and that he doesn't miss."
Her husband told Fox 9 that "she keeps it for shooting squirrels in the backyard."
He added that she only wanted the delivery driver to wait until the
package was opened so she could ensure everything was in it.
Cops said the gun was never pointed directly at the UPS man and she didn’t take him hostage in any way.
Jarrett has a criminal history that includes a 2009 conviction for criminal damage to property after she got angry at a Hennepin County road construction crew on Shady Oak Road three years ago.
The police report says she stopped to yell at a supervisor, telling him they were making too much noise on a Saturday and that she had a migraine.
When the supervisor called police, she keyed the tailgate of his county pickup.
Officials are requesting second-degree assault charges be filed.
Her husband said he has already hired an attorney and plans to bail her out of jail if and when she is charged.
