FORMER UFC CHAMP GETS 25 FOR RAPE

FORMER UFC welterweight champion Jeremy Jackson has been sentenced to 25-years for repeatedly raping his ex-girlfriend during a botched robbery attempt.Jackson, who also starred in "The Ultimate Fighter 4" broke into her house and attempted to rob it.
But when she caught him, he held her down and raped her twice. 
Ventura county prosecutor Thomas Dunlevy said there was ample evidence to convict him of his crimes, including surveillance footage and a recorded call between Jackson and his ex-girlfriend in which the fighter admits to planning the attack.
According to the The Ventura County Star there also were also a series of text messages to the victim of an erratic and threatening nature.
During her testimony, the victim said Jackson had threatened, intimidated and raped her on June 28, 2008. She said Jackson put a gun to her head, which prosecutors say was a BB gun.
Arrested in June 2008 he was originally charged with seven felony
offenses, including kidnapping to commit another crime, first-degree residential burglary, assault with a firearm, dissuading a witness by force or threat, and criminal threats.
Against his lawyer's advice The 28-year-old, pleaded guilty in 2010 to charges that he raped his ex-girlfriend during an attempted burglary.
