SOMETIMES, some things are just so amusing we can't help ourselves. Cory Ryder, was one of those stories that, dark as it was, made us smile. Cory, then 16, in 2007 hired a hitman to kill his mother Shannan Troiano because she had taken his Playstation away. As it went, you guessed it, the hitman was in reality...a cop.
"I miss him being at home," she said, "and I miss us joking around and kidding around. And then in the very same breath ? I don't know what this kid will do, because it's not my son. That can't be my little boy sitting there."
He's gone away for a long time but this picture never fails to bring a smile at Crime Scene USA.
