KEPT LIKE A DOG

EVIL father Riley Choate kept his 13-year-old son locked in a dog cage for a over a year before he brutally beat him to death, cops say. Christian Choate was not allowed to leave his padlocked prison except to eat and use the bathroom, according to testimony from his sister Christina, now 17.
BUT where was his mother? She gave dimwitted Riley custody but had not heard from her son for two years. Us? Kids don't check in for a couple years, we're concerned. And it was his sister Christina who eventually told the unidentified mother who lives in Kentucky what
had happened. And she called cops. Her hubby told the media that "she's really distressed." Hmmmmmm. Okay, fine. But let's editorialize her a bit: Christian wasn't exactly well served by mom either, was he?

Meanwhile, Christina told officers that their father frequently battered his son, but in April 2009 when Christian refused to eat he smashed his head so severely that the next morning he wouldn't wake up.
According to WBBM Riley Choate told Lake County Police that he moved his son's dead body from a mobile home to a shed, put a Bible on his chest and sprinkled lime on the body to aid decomposition.
Then he covered his son's body in a blanket and plastic sheet and buried it in a shallow gave near his home in Lake County, IN, before covering it in concrete.
One investigator said: "This is one of the most disturbing and cruel cases any of us have had to work on. It's clear that Christian didn't stand a chance and we're determined his killer will face justice.
Both his father Riley and the boy's stepmother Kimberly face murder charges along with neglect, battery and criminal confinement for the April 2009 death.
