THE KIDS normally came running when daddy came home from work. On Tuesday, they didn't. Police in New Orleans say a dad came home from his job today to fun his three children murdered and his wife dead. The bodies of Nadia Braxton and her children, Kayla Peters, 12; Nayax Peters, 1 1/2, and Nyla Peters, 6 months, were on one bed. Their mother's body was lying across them. A gun at the foot of the bed indicates it was a murder-suicide.
Cops say the dad, Ronald Peters, arrived home from work in the early evening and called out for his kids. He called 911 around 5 p.m. revealing the terrible discovery.
Seven family members huddled, crying, in the street as the bodies were brought out. An aunt said: "They were loved. They were so loved." There had been no previous disturbances.
Neighbor Maureen Callero told Fox News the family had lived there more than five years and the father worked in construction and also had a part-time job.
Neighbor George Windstein: "They kept to themselves. We never heard from them, let alone had any trouble with them. They're the kind of people you'd be glad to have for a neighbor."
