Volatile lesbian love ends in stabbing murder

OGDEN, UTAH -- A tumultuous lesbian relationship ended in bloodshed when the butch became enraged and stabbed her girlfriend to death, Cops say Victoria Ashley Mendoza, 22, LEFT, and her  lover Tawnee Maria Baird, 21, RIGHT, were returning home when they pulled over and argued in a parking lot. It led to aspiring singer Baird's murder.
"It was a violent, tumultuous encounter," Ogden Police Lt. Tim Scott told the Deseret News.  "We were actually responding on a call of a murder or someone wanting to turn themselves in for a murder."

The couple had been together five years and now cops are trying to find out whether there was a history of domestic violence.  A pal said Baird was desperate to get out of the relationship with the volatile Mendoza. MORE IN THE DESERET NEWS
