THIS IS the moment when deadly Dutchman Joran Van Der Sloot finally admits that he is a killer.

Calmly smoking a cigarette,  confesses that he hit and strangled Peruvian student Stephany Flores, 21, after she read an e-mail thought to be about the disappearance of gorgeous American teen Natalee Holloway, who has long been suspected of killing.
Flores was captured on CCTV entering his Lima hotel room, but not leaving and her battered body was later found by cops.  "There was blood everywhere," the Dutchman can be heard telling investigators in Spanish.

"What am I going to do now? I had blood on my shirt. There was also blood on the bed, so, I took my shirt and put it on her face, pressing hard, until I killed Stephany."
Although he later retracted that statement claiming he hadn't understood it and he'd been intimidated by cops, his defense attorney Luis Jiminez Navarro has said that his client was willing to confess to the lesser charge of simple homicide.
However, Van Der Sloot, who will become a father after impregnating a woman on a jail conjugal visit,  will not admit to aggravated murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
His motion read: "My client... admits having murdered the victim, but not with ferocity, profit or pleasure, nor any of the other element[s] that make up this murder, but only by violent emotion that overtook him at the time he was attacked by the victim."
However her family are said to be unhappy with the proposal and are insisting that the charge is not reduced.
