Alexander Pratt, 59, and Clara Pearson, 53, jumped into the unmarked police car after they saw the keys in the ignition.
But the Civic was actually part of a police sting and was armed with video GPS surveillance and had been left unlocked by Lake Worth, FL Sheriff's on purpose.
Officers quickly caught up with Alexander Pratt, 59, and Clara Pearson, 53, but when they asked them why they'd taken the car the response shocked them.
Saucy senior Pratt told them that he wanted to, "go to have intimate relations with Pearson,"according to the Palm Beach Post
A police source revealed: "They're definitely not your average car thieves and not the type of people we were expecting to catch with this sting.
"But they took the car and now they'll have to face the charges."
The pair have now been charged with Grand Theft Auto.
