Ohio serial killer Anthony Sowell wants new trial

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Evil Anthony Sowell is bizarrely going for it. He thinks he deserves a new trial. Here's a refresher: the serial killer butchered 11 women and hid the remains in his rundown Cleveland house. As it stands, evil Tony has date with the executioner but his lawyers think "a judge wrongly closed a portion of jury selection and a hearing where attorneys argued about his police interrogation", the Associated Press reports. The prosecution ain't fooled by the 55-year-old monster.

"It's important to note that everything the judge did in this case he did to protect Anthony Sowell's right to a fair trial," assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor Chris Schroeder said . "That was the reason why he closed the courtroom." MORE FROM ABC NEWS

GENEROUS donors have given more than $800,000 to the victims of the Cleveland horror house, who were allegedly subjected to a decade of sexual terror by Ariel Castro.

Horrified at the abuse Amanda Berry, Gina De Jesus and Michelle Knight are said to have suffered, people from all over the World have sent in cash to help them readjust to day to day life. 

Cops say, Castro, snatched the women, all of whom were in their late teens and early 20s from the streets near his rundown home. 

Chaining them in his basement, he allegedly used them as his personal sex slaves, beating them if they refused to comply to his wicked demands. 

His first victim, Michelle Knight,  told officers that he not only beat and starved her, but also forced her into five miscarriages.

A spilled cup of punch at a kindergarten graduation ceremony, led to a sidewalk brawl which saw eight people arrested cops say.
Parents at Cleveland's Michael R. White School had been looking forward to a "joyous day" police commander Wayne Drummond revealed.
But as families gathered, a couple of teenagers got into a dispute over some spilled punch and stepped outside to continue it.
The fight quickly escalated, with people picking up sticks and at least one person arming themselves with a hammer.
City schools spokesperson, Roseann Canfora, said none of them were students at the school.

There have been repeated calls for the former bus driver who allegedly subjected Amanda Berry, Gina De Jesus and Michelle Knight to almost a decade of terror to pay with his life, if convicted of his terrible crimes.
Cops say that after snatching the women, who were in their late teens or early twenties, he chained them in the basement of his run down Cleveland home, using them as his personal sex slaves.

In a last desperate bid to avoid the death penalty, convicted serial killer, creepy Anthony Sowell told the court: "I'm sorry."
The 51-year-old was found guilty of luring 11 women to his Cleveland, OH apartment often with the promise of booze or crack cocaine.
But after smoking the drug he turned, repeatedly raping them and beating them to death.
When he ran out of the room to bury the body's in his back garden, he kept them lying around his apartment, causing an almighty stink in the neighborhood.
After refusing to testify during the case itself, Sowell has finally decided to speak in a bid to save himself from the death penalty.

Calling no witnesses, he barely offered any explanation for his brutality, other than the nightmares brought on by the deadly drug -all of which involved him hurting women.
When he woke up they were gone.
He will now face the death penalty for the slayings after being convicted of multiple counts of aggravated murder and a number of other offenses.
