Death penalty sought for 'cop killer' Eric Frein

Prosecutors will seek the death penalty in the case against accused cop killer Eric Frein after cops finally caught up with him almost six weeks on the run in the Pocono Mountaints.
U.S. marshals busted the self taught survivalists in an abandoned airline hangar, reportedly with a handgun and sniper. He gave up without a fight.
"Now he will face justice," Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett said, adding that he would seek the death penalty.
Frein now faces multiple charges in relation to the killing of State Police Cpl. Bryon Dickson and wounding Trooper Alex Douglas in an ambush on the Blooming Grove barracks on Sept. 12.
They included first-degree murder, homicide of a law enforcement officer, attempted murder and possession of weapons of mass destruction.

Confirmed: Body is Virginia co-ed Hannah Graham's

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA -- The human remains found in rural Virginia have confirmed everyone's worst fears: it's Hannah Graham. Graham, 18, vanished Sept. 13 after a night of partying with pals. The remains were discovered 12 miles from the University of Virginia campus. The state's medical examiner confirmed the body was Graham's.
The man Graham was last seen with, 32-year-old suspected serial killer Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr. who has been charged with abduction with intent to defile Graham.

Austin Myers, 19, gets death in Justin Back murder

LEBANON, OHIO – Austin Myers, left, has a date with the executioner. The cold-blooded 19-year-old killer was sentenced to death for the murder of Justin Back, 18. Myers and his family made a desperate last minute plea to save his life but those efforts were shot down.

 "It's only going to cause more pain and suffering for another family," Myers said.
His mother also made a tearful, desperate courtroom plea. "When I'm looking at all these pictures, I describe it like my boy - I love him with all my heart - he just has a light in him in all of his pictures and then he doesn't," Danielle Copeland said, of the changes she saw after splitting with her husband.

Tom Sanders gets death for Lexis Roberts murder

ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA -- A Nevada double-murderer will be facing ultimate justice for the senseless slaying of a 12-year-old girl and her mom.  A federal jury decided that Thomas Sanders, 57, will be put to death for the kidnapping and murder of Lexis Roberts in 2010. Court heard that Sanders  "shot Lexis Roberts four times, cut her throat, and left her body in the woods where a hunter found her body on October 8, 2010. A nation-wide manhunt ensued and Sanders was arrested on November 14, 2010, at a truck stop in Gulfport, Mississippi, by FBI agents." Lexis was described in court as "sweet" and "innocent." Death penalty likely for Arron Lewis in Carter case

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS -- For evil Arron Lewis, a date with the needle is almost a certainty. While officials say it's still too early to discuss punishment for Lewis who has admitted to kidnapping Little Rock realtor Beverly Carter. A DEATH row bound double killer has mocked Oregon governor John Kitzhaber, claiming he "didn't have the guts" to carry out the execution.
Two-time murderer Gary Haugen called the lawman "a paper cowboy" adding that, "he couldn't pull the trigger," after Kitzhaber refused to execute him.
Haugen has voluntarily given up all his legal challenges, claiming he wants to be executed, to protest against the criminal justice system he views as broken.

THE MONSTER mom who cheated on her fiance, got pregnant and then ruthlessly smothered her twin sons to death to cover up her affair will not face the death penalty, prosecutor's revealed this week.
As we reported here Lindsey Lowe, 25, held her hands over her defenseless tots mouths and suffocated them to death, just moments after she gave birth to them in the toilet.
Then with both children dead, police said, she took them out of the toilet, covered them with blankets and hid them in a laundry basket in her parent's Hendersonville, TN home.
Her father discovered one of the infants Wednesday and called police, who tracked her down at work.
