Zunich had sex with foster dad; then murdered mom

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OHIO -- A teenager terror who slaughtered her sleeping foster mother with a frenzied knife attack at the behest of her foster father with whom she was having a torrid affair, has been sentenced to life in prison.
"The gruesome, shocking, revolting nature of this crime ranks among the worst I have ever seen in my many years on this bench," Judge Richard Collins Jr. said in a video taken by WKYC-TV.
Sabrina Zunich was just 17 when she slashed 41-year-old Lisa Knoefel 178 times with a 10 inch blade as she lay asleep in their Willoughby Hills, Ohio home, according to Cleveland's newsnet five.

Cops link Hannah Graham suspect to 2009 murder

BREAKING! Detectives in Virginia have announced that they've linked the disappearance of university student Hannah Graham and the 2009 murder of Morgan Harrington. Cops said Monday that Jesse L. Matthew, 32, has been physically linked to Harrington who vanished after a Metallica concert in Charlottesville.
"For the past five years, the Virginia State Police has been aggressively pursuing the investigation into the disappearance and death of 20-year-old Morgan D. Harrington of Roanoke, Va. Last week, the arrest of Jesse L. Matthew Jr., 32, of Charlottesville, Va., provided a significant break in this case with a new forensic link for state police investigators to pursue," Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said in a statement today.

Cops nab Arron Lewis in Beverly Carter kidnapping

UPDATE: Cops have captured Aaron Lewis -- suspected of kidnapping missing real estate agent Beverly Lyn Carter, 51. He was busted by Little Rock Police Monday morning near an apartment complex in the Arkansas capital.

Alleged killer Eric Frein eludes massive manhunt

Cops have beef with cow killers who battered bovine

PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- Make no mis-steak -- these killers are monsters. A Phoenix family was devastated when their pet cow was murdered after being battered by a barrage of softballs fired from a potato launcher. Cops say the family found the critically injured animal Friday morning. 
"The early indications are that perhaps this cow was injured by someone who may have thrown these softballs at this cow," said Sgt. Steve Martos. "Unfortunately, as I understand it, this cow had to be put down by a vet."
Neighbors are also said to be furious that anyone would harm the friendly animal.

Ex-fireman Alexander Rousseau jailed for child porn

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- A former firefighter who had over 120 child porn videos on his computer has been sentenced to 27-years in federal prison.
Twisted Alexander Rousseau downloaded and viewed the sickening films, many of which were over five minutes while on duty, according to FBI investigators.
U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore said the sentence was justified because the 31-year-old had lied during testimony about who downloaded the images.
The jury convicted him of five counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession. Rousseau will have to register as a sex offender and will be on probation for life.  

'Dear, sweet' mom of four gunned down in Philly

'Dear, sweet' Kathryn Berry

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- A "dear, sweet," mother-of four was gunned down as she walked her dog near a Philadelphia park.
Kathryn Berry, 42, never had issues with anyone or received any threats, family members told NBC Philadelphia.
"She was a dear, sweet woman," said James Graves, a relative of Berry's. "She was a good heart."
Berry was shot in the forehead and the leg by a man who investigators describe as "heavy set" with a grey and black beard, standing between five-foot-11 and six-feet. He was carrying a silver handgun, they said. 
Berry who was found by her daughter moments after the shooting, later died of her injuries. 

Still missing a month on, 14-year-old Adelle Burns

A 14-year-old Florida girl is still missing more than a month after she disappeared from the bed she was sharing with her sister.
Adelle Burns left a note telling her mom that she would be with friend's in Mississippi, but there has been no word from her since.

Miami club massacre: Girl, 11, among 15 wounded

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- An 11-year-old girl was among 15 wounded during a shooting a Miami nightclub, cops said.
Investigators were still trying to piece together who or how many people fired the weapons or what prompted the shooting outside The Spot club, according to police spokesperson Federica Burden.
Witnesses told CBS Miami that they heard at least 100 shots.
A unresponsive man was found not breathing by emergency responders and five girls aged 11 to 17 and cops said they were going from hospital to hospital to try and piece together what happened.
Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll called the shootings "very disturbing."
"What was very surprising to the responders was that these were kids that out at 1o'clock in the morning in a club and this type of violence took place where a bunch of kids were gathering," he said.

Chinese smuggler Kai Xu had 51 turtles in pants

Where are the Ninja Turtles when you need them? In another case of, geez, don't you have any respect for animals -- think rhinos, elephants an tigers -- a Canadian man was arrested in Detroit with 51 live turtles stuffed down his pants. Kai Xu --yep --was busted by U.S. Wildlife officers. "During the secondary inspection, Xu was found to have 51 live turtles tapped (sic) to his person," Kenneth Adams, a special agent with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, stated in an affidavit outlining the criminal complaint. "Specifically, Xu had 41 turtles tapped (sic) to his legs and 10 hidden between his legs."

Brittany Navarra guilty in Krista Pike murder

Brittany Navarra, left, has been found guilty of the evil murder of her perceived love rival, Krista Pike, 18, in 2008. It took the Modesto jury less than an hour to reach their verdict. Just 16 at the time, cops said jealousy drove Navarra to plan the murder and convince beau Dustin Gran to kill Krista who once dated another of Navarra's ex-beaus. The defence said it was ANOTHER girl who was really the mastermind. The jury didn't buy it.
At the time, cops said: "There is a scorned-love thing going here."
Verdict: Brittany is evil and will be sentenced next week.

FOREIGN 1: Killers had sex with Paige Chivers corpse

British cops have unraveled a 7-year-old cold case that's stomach-churning in its twisted nature. Cops say they have charged Robert Ewing, 59, and Gareth Dewhurst, 45, in the mysterious disappearance and murder of Paige Chivers, 15, from her Blackpool home. Ewing gets the murder beef... Dewhurst had sex with her dead body. They were arrested earlier this week, the Daily Mirror reports.
Her body has never been found and detectives were tight-lipped on what led to the charge. Reports say she had been distraught over the death of her mom 6 months before she vanished.
Shockingly, her father Frank was murdered last year.
