HE IS 'the essence of evil.' Meet the Cable Kook.  Monstrous Thomas Scala, 57, is accused of beating his long suffering wife in a fit of rage because she didn't pay for premium cable during a hospital stay last Thanksgiving. Scala is charged with the Nov. 26 beating of Blanche Scala, 59, and now those charges could be upgraded to murder.
Now, her family tells the New York Daily News the 38-year marriage was an endless cycle of violence, brutality and cruelty.

"Her husband is the essence of evil - mean, vile and arrogant, a horror," Camille Leone tells the News."He
beat the crap out of her."

Unhealthy Scala was charged Thursday after his release from the hospital. During a prior stay at the Staten Island, NY, University Hospital was when he came unglued.
Blanche didn't visit him over Thanksgiving and did not spring for the high-priced cable.
