SAMURAI SWORD SLAUGHTER IN PHILLY SUBURB

A PHILADELPHIA area man is in jail today for butchering his father, mother and twin brother with a samurai sword. Joseph McAndrew Jr., 23, was busted by cops Saturday in suburban Montgomery County and charged with slaughtering: Joseph C. McAndrew, 70; Susan C. McAndrew, 64; and James D.
McAndrew, 23, in the family's Upper Merion home.
According to neighbors, the carnage is "traumatic and very shocking."
Of the accused killer, a neighbor said: "I played soccer with him growing up. I never thought that anything was possible."
Cops say the trio were killed by "multiple cuts and lacerations." Detectives found knives and a samurai sword. Local reports suggest the family fought for their liveds. McAndrew Jr. was found in the drive with his shoes and pants covered in blood.
