LONG ISLAND SERIAL KILLER MOCKED RELATIVE IN CALLS

MOCKING the relative, the cunning Long Island serial killer called the family of one of his victims using her cellphone, cops have revealed.
Although officers are remaining tight lipped as to what the caller said he was so confident that he wouldn't be caught that phoned them at least seven times.
One investigator who did not wish to be named, said: "This guy was so far ahead of us that he could make these calls safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't be apprehended.
"It shows he's street smart and he's smug. Our fear is that he's confident and that he hasn't stopped, he's just changed the location for dumping bodies."       The news comes after it emerged that a witness on Long Island described seeing a frightened woman, later identified as Shannon Gilbert, scream for help outside
his house before she disappeared last May, police say.
The witness called the police after she ran off. Minutes later, the witness confronted a man who was looking for the woman. Ms. Gilbert remains missing.
The search for her is what led police to find the bodies of the killer's victims.
So far 10 have been found but investigators fear more maybe found after the FBI use the latest imaging technology to cover the surrounding area.
